If you are reading this, you already have experience with mindbody concepts. You don’t need to be convinced that your emotions and body are intertwined. You are not seeking more info about polyvagal theory or the HPA axis or mindfulness or collective consciousness.
You are seeking something that works and want to understand why what you have already tried does not work.
Our internal world—our thoughts, sensations, emotions, self-talk, sense of belonging, and identity—is inseparable from the context we live in. To break free from unhelpful patterns that arise from the bottom-up signals in our bodies and foster meaningful change in our perceptions and behavior, we need both somatic skills and a path to integrate these embodied practices with our top-down stories.
This summit is designed to help shed light on this process.
Each guest speaker will present for 20 minutes. There will be time for a short 5-10 minute Q&A after the talk. The event will culminate in a dynamic panel discussion after the final session on Day 2, exploring the practical application of Coherent Body principles within somatic therapy.
Join us to illuminate the path between embodiment and change that unlocks your mind and body.
NOTE: This is not a summit to learn the Coherent Body system. You will get an overview of the Coherent Body approach, but to learn the system, I recommend you start with an intro course. CLICK HERE to learn more about the intro course Building Self-Trust Through Somatic Posture.

Day 1: Sept 20
“Connecting Mindful Movement with Somatics”
Over the course of eight years, David has utilized somatic training and trauma-informed principles to help individuals reclaim their agency and sense of empowerment. He will share the insights he has gained from his journey—from mindful body practices such as Aikido and Being In Movement® Mindbody Education to becoming a trained psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing® practitioner.
“How Emotions Form the Body”
With 14 years’ experience as a somatic psychotherapist, Aaron will discuss how Formative Psychology™ views body formation and identity, and how he operates from that perspective in practice to help his clients re-establish self contact and a sense of agency.
“The neurobiology of story through relationship”
Dr. Luna has over 15 years’ experience as a clinical neuropsychologist and trained in the Gottman Method and mindfulness. She’ll discuss the neurobiological origins of relationship formation.
Day 2: Sept 21
"Unsticking the Stuck Story: Making space for the body to lead us out of the stories that once kept us safe.”
Jo Grace has worked therapeutically for over 30 years, as a community artist in vulnerable communities, a yoga and dance practitioner, a play therapist and latterly as a psychotherapist specialising in Transactional Analysis, parts work and nervous system health. She’s interested in the stories we tell ourselves at every level, from the conscious awareness through to how the body holds these. In this talk, she shares how witnessing both story and sensation can create pathways toward greater coherence and inner freedom.
“Finding My Midline”
With 30 years’ experience as a somatic therapist with EMDR training, Linda will share her very recent personal journey into finding her midline and how it has impacted her professional practice.
Panel Discussion
“Somatic Therapy and the Coherent Body Approach”
Participants will elaborate on their experience using Coherent Body in their practice and how it relates to their understanding of the mindbody dynamic.
