~ Somatic Posture ~
Your somatic posture involves a powerful and multi-sensory skillset that aligns with what your human system has refined over millions of years: the act of standing on two small platforms called feet.
How exactly can posture change your most embedded mental-emotional patterns?
Your body in standing is a system that seeks the most energy-efficient way to do two things at once:
1. Keep you emotionally safe
2. Prevent you from falling over
Our learned experience of safety (item #1) is intertwined with the skill we take for granted -standing and moving (item #2).
When you learn the key insights to build internal safety, power, and ease in standing (improve how you do #2), this ensures you don’t revert back to your old mental-emotional patterns (formed in #1).
If you give the brain the option to stand in a more energy-efficient way, here’s what happens:
You feel less white noise in your system, which means you feel relief from chronic underlying work in your body just to stand.
Your body helps you: once you get the ball rolling, your body recognizes and accelerates the process of more efficient posture in order to conserve energy.
You build trust in your body because you know how to work with what the body needs instead of trying to fight it into submission.
What you’ll get
1. Four videos (20-25 min each). Each lesson contains instructions on what to do in your body, as well as explanation of why you are doing it.
2. Feedback from me on your struggles as you post them
3. A special REWARD video “How the Body Creates Meaning” if you complete the course in 5 days
4. After 5 days, whether you complete the course or not, you will receive
+ access to my online community
+ a digital copy of my book When Things Stick: Untangling Your Body From Old Patterns
+ bonus videos that are not included in the book
“As a therapist, this has already changed my practices and perceptions with my clients.”
“The straightforward simplicity of the tools create a unique and essential holistic approach which is exciting and deeply hopeful.”

FAQ’s
About Course Content and Outcomes
Q. How is this approach different from other somatic or mindbody techniques I’ve tried before?
A. You’ll be taught the subtle organizational needs of a body in standing and how they translate into emotional narrative.
Q. What exactly will I learn or be able to do after the course that I can’t do now?
A. You’ll be able to access inner support in a way you previously did not have.
Q. Are the techniques suitable for someone already familiar with subtle body awareness, or will this feel redundant?
A. The clarity in instruction is something that even experienced dance professionals, martial artists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and somatic psychotherapists find illuminating.
Q. Will I experience noticeable, practical changes in how I feel or manage stress?
A. Yes! This is the goal of the course.
About Structure and Commitment
Q. How much time will the course require each day?
A. Less than one hour per lesson. You can complete the course in one day. There are 4 videos and you have 5 days, so you do not have to do it daily.
Q. What happens if I can’t complete the course and assignments within five days?
A. This course is designed to motivate you to complete it.
If you start but don’t complete it, you can still have access for 30 days but you will not get the reward.
If you don’t do any assignments (post your observations) you will be removed from the course after 5 days.
Q. Are the assignments mandatory and what do they involve?
A. The assignments are short responses to what you learned in each lesson. Communicating your experience in words solidifies the experience for yourself and expands the experience for everyone in the course.
Q. Will I have ongoing access to the materials after the course ends?
A. For 30 days, only if you have participated by completing any assignment.
About Support and Community
Q. Is there any live support or feedback from instructors, or is it entirely self-guided?
A. I’ll be interacting with you within the comment sections on each lesson. It is not real-time, but you will get support from me.
Q. What kind of interaction is expected?
A. You are required to share your experience or reflection on your takeaway from each lesson.
About Suitability and Prerequisites
Q. Is this course appropriate for someone with advanced somatic practice?
A. Yes, the clarity in instruction is something that even trained somatic therapists and somatic movement professionals find illuminating.
Q. Is there a risk of feeling triggered or overwhelmed by the practices?
A. Potentially, if you are new to somatics. This course is NOT an intro to somatics - it is for people who have experience paying attention to subtle body signals. If you are seeking somatics for trauma for the first time, you should learn that with live support.
About Results and Accountability
Q. What is the bonus video, and how does it deepen or expand on the main course content?
A. The bonus video explains how your internal body signals and your movement patterns come together to form meaning. Understanding this frames an entirely new way of navigating your body to impact emotions.
Q. How strict is the five-day completion rule, and what’s the reasoning behind it?
A. The rules about participation and 5 days is essential. If you do not believe you can do the course, please do not enroll.
By having this rule in place, you come into this course with the commitment to complete it. Too often we fail to follow through on something new. Taking action is essential to get started, so I’ve put the course in this structure to make it easy for you to follow through.
Q. If I don’t finish in time, can I re-enroll or access the materials in the future?
A. If you start the course but don’t complete it in 5 days, you still have access to the materials but you will NOT receive the reward. If you do NOT complete at least one assignment (which is posting your observations in response to each lesson), you will be removed from the course.
Q. Yes, you can re-enroll at a later date in order to get the reward.
A. Note that I also have a one-time offer that is only available to people who go through this course on their first time around.
About Practical Application
Q. How can I integrate what I learn here into my existing practices or with clients?
A. I have a therapist training available for qualified practitioners. Contact support@coherentbody for more info.
