+ are new to Coherent Body but not new to mindbody
+ are ready to take an interactive course that they MUST complete in 5 days
+ want to experience a unique, empowering approach to shift how they feel in their body
+ desire insight into how to build the bridge from body changes to mental-emotional behavioral changes using a simplified strategy
+ crave finding somatic changes that endure.
What you can expect
The main goal for this experience is to offer you a deep and meaningful experience of change in your body that you can reproduce. This empowering experience serves as a starting point for you to evolve this process on your own.
Have you been doing all the things to feel safe, powerful, and at ease in your body - for years, and maybe even teaching it professionally - yet you still are too easily knocked off your center? Do you feel like you still haven’t moved through some of your deepest resistance?
Are you ready for a radically different way to meet yourself through your body?
To change the underlying patterns that persist, you need to work with what works and make it work better for you.
What does that mean? Improve something that your body already does. In this short intro course, you’ll learn how to stand in a new way: by navigating gravity, light, and sound through your posture to find calm.
Here’s a quick example of what I mean. Try this:
Stand up and place your feet about 4-6 inches apart.
Look off into the far distance.
Adjust your posture so you are pouring the weight of your body into the arches of your feet.
Now pretend you are about to take a seat, but do it in a way where an observer would not notice it.
SOMATIC POSTURE
If you’re already experienced in somatics but you feel like you’ve hit a ceiling with what you’ve been taught, your next step is self-empowerment through somatic posture.
Your somatic posture involves a powerful and multi-sensory skillset that aligns with what your human system has refined over millions of years: the act of standing on two small platforms called feet.
How exactly can posture change your most embedded mental-emotional patterns?
Your body in standing is a system that seeks the most energy-efficient way to do two things at once:
1. Keep you emotionally safe
2. Prevent you from falling over
Our learned experience of safety (item #1) is intertwined with the skill we take for granted -standing and moving (item #2).
When you learn the key insights to build internal safety, power, and ease in standing (improve how you do #2), this ensures you don’t revert back to your old mental-emotional patterns (formed in #1).
If you give the brain the option to stand in a more energy-efficient way, here’s what happens:
You feel less white noise in your system, which means you feel relief from chronic underlying work in your body just to stand.
Your body helps you: once you get the ball rolling, your body recognizes and accelerates the process of more efficient posture in order to conserve energy.
You build trust in your body because you know how to work with what the body needs instead of trying to fight it into submission.
WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN MISSING?
Somatic posture builds skills that are transferable into your daily life. It starts with standing on your own two feet. Quite literally, this physical act of independence is how you build skills of self-trust.
But just because you can stand doesn’t mean you are getting the most from it.
Simple and clear guidance on how to find greater internal connectivity gives you ownership over enduring changes. Understanding this will last a lifetime and you’ll create a stability that is self-generated instead of temporarily comforting.
If you feel like your current practices are rinse and repeat, you are in the right place.
WHO THIS IS FOR & WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
After this course, you’ll be able to immediately implement specific guidelines to feel present, stable, and calm in your body by changing how you organize your body in standing.
This course is designed for people who can:
1. sit and stand from a chair without assistance and
2. walk outside for 30 minutes without getting out of breath
If you don’t fit those parameters, you might still benefit from the course, but physical limitations might make it challenging to find the more subtle signals in your body. This course is optimally designed for people who fulfill the above baseline mobility and fitness levels.
This course is also designed for those who have experience in mindbody practices that emphasize paying attention to subtle body signals.
If you are very experienced, yet the tools that worked for you in the past are no longer working, then the accumulated shortcomings in self-regulation can feel significantly frustrating. Instead of focusing MORE on the problem, you’ll learn to open up more capacity by communicating with your body in the language it understands.
In these 4 lessons, you’ll learn and experience changes within your body that illustrate what this means.
To encourage you to actually experience what is taught in the lessons, if you complete the videos and assignment in 5 days, you’ll receive my training on How the Body Creates Meaning as a special reward.
What you’ll get
1. Four videos (20-25 min each) with instructions on what to do in your body
2. Feedback from me on your struggles as you post them
3. After 5 days, whether you complete the course or not, you will receive access to my online community and a digital copy of my book When Things Stick: Untangling Your Body From Old Patterns.
Expected outcomes:
1. Your experience of positive change in your body is palpable. You experience it, you don’t have to doubt that you feel it.
2. Your understanding of the Coherent Body framework helps contextualize why these changes are happening.
3. Because you had both the direct, clear bottom-up body experience and the cognitive top-down insight into change, you can reproduce it.

HOW TO BENEFIT THE MOST FROM THIS COURSE
The biggest obstacle to online learning is follow-through. How many courses did you buy and not complete? This short course is designed to encourage you into action.
To help you do this, you can receive a bonus training video on How the Body Creates Meaning as a reward if you complete this course and assignments within 5 days. This bonus video is not available for purchase on its own.
The videos in this course are 20 minutes each. The bonus is 45 minutes.
The assignments are your short reflections posted directly on the video.
If you participate, you’ll continue to get access to all these materials for 30 days.
To join this experience, you must accept the rules:
If you go through the videos and post per the guidelines within 5 days, you will receive a bonus training video.
If you do NOT finish all assignments within 5 days yet still participate in some of it, you will not receive the bonus video but you can still continue with the materials for 30 days.
If you do not participate by sharing your reflections within 5 days, you will be removed from the group. Posting your feedback creates an information loop of translating your embodied experience into shared expression. Your inner experience becomes more wired into your memory by communicating it. Feel shy about posting to the group? You can DM me instead.
I’ve put this rule in place to make sure you actually consume and experience what you paid for. Before purchasing this course, be sure you are committed to this. Your enrollment implies a sincere commitment to follow through.
If you are ready for a solution that finally works without extensive ritual, tools, or hypnotic guidance, then enroll and get started right away. If you are NOT ready to participate as described, PLEASE DO NOT enroll at this time.
FAQ’s
About Course Content and Outcomes
Q. How is this approach different from other somatic or mindbody techniques I’ve tried before?
A. You’ll be taught the subtle organizational needs of a body in standing and how they translate into emotional narrative.
Q. What exactly will I learn or be able to do after the course that I can’t do now?
A. You’ll be able to access inner support in a way you previously did not have.
Q. Are the techniques suitable for someone already familiar with subtle body awareness, or will this feel redundant?
A. The clarity in instruction is something that even experienced dance professionals, martial artists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and somatic psychotherapists find illuminating.
Q. Will I experience noticeable, practical changes in how I feel or manage stress?
A. Yes! This is the goal of the course.
About Structure and Commitment
Q. How much time will the course require each day?
A. Less than one hour per lesson. You can complete the course in one day. There are 4 videos and you have 5 days, so you do not have to do it daily.
Q. What happens if I can’t complete the course and assignments within five days?
A. This course is designed to motivate you to complete it.
If you start but don’t complete it, you can still have access for 30 days but you will not get the reward.
If you don’t do any assignments (post your observations) you will be removed from the course after 5 days.
Q. Are the assignments mandatory and what do they involve?
A. The assignments are short responses to what you learned in each lesson. Communicating your experience in words solidifies the experience for yourself and expands the experience for everyone in the course.
Q. Will I have ongoing access to the materials after the course ends?
A. For 30 days, only if you have participated by completing any assignment.
About Support and Community
Q. Is there any live support or feedback from instructors, or is it entirely self-guided?
A. I’ll be interacting with you within the comment sections on each lesson. It is not real-time, but you will get support from me.
Q. What kind of interaction is expected?
A. You are required to share your experience or reflection on your takeaway from each lesson.
About Suitability and Prerequisites
Q. Is this course appropriate for someone with advanced somatic practice?
A. Yes, the clarity in instruction is something that even trained somatic therapists and somatic movement professionals find illuminating.
Q. Is there a risk of feeling triggered or overwhelmed by the practices?
A. Potentially, if you are new to somatics. This course is NOT an intro to somatics - it is for people who have experience paying attention to subtle body signals. If you are seeking somatics for trauma for the first time, you should learn that with live support.
About Results and Accountability
Q. What is the bonus video, and how does it deepen or expand on the main course content?
A. The bonus video explains how your internal body signals and your movement patterns come together to form meaning. Understanding this frames an entirely new way of navigating your body to impact emotions.
Q. How strict is the five-day completion rule, and what’s the reasoning behind it?
A. The rules about participation and 5 days is essential. If you do not believe you can do the course, please do not enroll.
By having this rule in place, you come into this course with the commitment to complete it. Too often we fail to follow through on something new. Taking action is essential to get started, so I’ve put the course in this structure to make it easy for you to follow through.
Q. If I don’t finish in time, can I re-enroll or access the materials in the future?
A. If you start the course but don’t complete it in 5 days, you still have access to the materials but you will NOT receive the reward. If you do NOT complete at least one assignment (which is posting your observations in response to each lesson), you will be removed from the course.
Q. Yes, you can re-enroll at a later date in order to get the reward.
A. Note that I also have a one-time offer that is only available to people who go through this course on their first time around.
About Practical Application
Q. How can I integrate what I learn here into my existing practices or with clients?
A. I have a therapist training available for qualified practitioners. Contact support@coherentbody for more info.
